Assistant Quality Manager: Phillipsburg, NJ
Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards
for industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties. Develop, implement
and monitor a product and process quality management system. Develop process monitoring methods using SQC
Methods and a QMS system from scratch. Develop and maintain an internal web based quality information
portal to support QMS using HTML, Java and VB Script (Web Page Development). Develop and maintain a job
procedures system for scrap and customer complaints elimination/reduction. Position and develop the
quality management system for ISO Compliance and attain ISO-9001 status/certification. Develop a
company/plant wide audit and CAR based system.
Develop, maintain and improve a customer complaints database system using VBA, SQL and MS Access. Develop actionable analytical metrics using trends analysis. Analyze production data using statistical Quality control and Six Sigma methodologies. Develop product specs and review engineering designs drawings and specs for improvement and standardization. Perform in depth scrap/non-conformance analysis to eliminate causes. Assist in the design and conception of process improvement and control systems. Gage R & R and measurement system analysis development. Perform SPC analysis (Statistical Process Control) and process capability analysis (Cp and Cpk).
Develop supplier quality assurance/control system, use 8D Problem solving and lean manufacturing. Spearhead communication drive for in-plant personals. Develop a system of automatic production and complaints data analysis using Excel, VBA, SQL and MS Access. Prepare report for GM and Corporate using power point. Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards. Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.. Reviews all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Access Database software; VBA, SQL Design software; HTML, Java, and Vb script Internet software; MS Excel and Minitab Spreadsheet software and MS Word, Publisher, and Power Point Word Processing software.
Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field with two years relevant experience.
